Job Responsibilities
- Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services during meetings, site visits, and technical discussions between Chinese and Indonesian-speaking parties
- Translate technical engineering documents, reports, specifications, and correspondence from Chinese to Indonesian and vice versa
- Accompany Chinese engineers and executives during project site inspections and client presentations
- Facilitate clear communication during contract negotiations, project briefings, and stakeholder meetings
- Ensure accurate interpretation of technical engineering terminology and concepts
- Maintain confidentiality of all business-sensitive information and communications
- Coordinate with project teams to prepare for interpretation assignments and familiarize with technical content
Job Requirements
- Native or near-native fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional interpretation experience, preferably in engineering, construction, or technical industries
- Strong understanding of engineering terminology and technical concepts
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Engineering, or related field
- Professional interpretation certification (e.g., NAATI, CATTI) is highly advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and awareness
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
