Our client, a prominent and well-established insurance company based in Jakarta, is seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Credit Control Manager to lead their credit and collections function. Job Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce the company’s overall credit control policies, procedures, and strategies.
Lead, mentor, and manage the credit control team, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance to ensure efficient collections and premium reconciliation.
Oversee the entire portfolio of premium receivables, including sophisticated analysis of aging reports to identify high-risk accounts and trends.
Manage complex collection cases, negotiate structured payment plans, and oversee the escalation process, including liaising with legal counsel when necessary.
Establish strong cross-functional collaboration with Underwriting, Sales, and Claims departments to resolve policy-related disputes and align on risk acceptance.
Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual credit control reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting risk exposure, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and collection effectiveness.
Implement and leverage technology (ERP/CRM systems) to automate and enhance reporting, tracking, and forecasting of receivables.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements related to credit and financial reporting.
Conduct regular credit reviews and risk assessments for key corporate clients and agency partners.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline the credit-to-cash cycle and reduce bad debt provisions.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or credit management certification) is a strong plus.
Minimum of7-10 years of progressive experience in credit control, accounts receivable management, or credit risk, with at least3-5 years in a managerial or team leadership capacity.
Proven experience within the insurance industry or financial services is mandatory, with a deep understanding of insurance premium cycles, broker relationships, and policy administration.
Demonstrated expertise in developing credit policies, managing large receivable portfolios, and successfully reducing DSO and bad debt ratios.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage difficult negotiations professionally.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis tools and advanced Microsoft Excel. Experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is preferred.
High integrity, strategic thinking, and a results-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement.
Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and professional proficiency in English.
