On behalf of our client, Select Headhunter is seeking a dynamic and seasoned sales leader to take on a pivotal role in driving growth within the Indonesian market. This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in fast-paced FMCG environments and is motivated to deliver results through people, strategy, and execution.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, recommend, and secure management approval for annual sales plans, including unit sales, revenue, and profit goals, and oversee their execution.

  • Establish monthly and quarterly sales targets aligned with annual plans and monitor progress against them.

  • Execute brand strategies by leveraging trade marketing to ensure successful channel implementation.

  • Design and implement effective route-to-market and distribution models (short, mid, and long term) to align with company objectives.

  • Manage, evaluate, and develop distributors, including selection of new partners and negotiation of sales agreements where required.

  • Oversee sales and marketing activities with distributors, including inventory management, sales and distribution performance, A&P activities, and new product launches.

  • Lead and develop a sales team consisting of channel managers, executives, and trade marketing professionals, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company values.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, trade associations, customers, and government bodies to support sustainable growth.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or a related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 15 years’ solid experience in FMCG sales, with strong grounding in General Trade; experience in Modern Trade and Foodservice is an advantage.

  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership position such as Head of Sales or National Sales Manager.

  • Proven expertise in distributor and territory management.

  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Excellent command of English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is an advantage.

  • Results-driven, with strong negotiation and people management skills, and a high personal drive to succeed.
