Our client, a well-established commodities trading company, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead their coal trading operations in Jakarta. Job Responsibilities
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the coal trading business
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients across the coal supply chain
• Identify new business opportunities and market trends within the Indonesian and regional coal markets
• Negotiate contracts, pricing terms, and commercial agreements with buyers and suppliers
• Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution and delivery
• Coordinate with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth transaction execution
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis for senior management
• Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and pricing movements in the coal sector
• Lead and mentor junior sales team members to develop their capabilities
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of sales experience in coal trading, mining, or commodities sector
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key client accounts
• Strong understanding of Indonesian and international coal markets, specifications, and logistics
• Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen with ability to close complex deals
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis
• Existing network of contacts within the coal industry is highly advantageous
