As Assistant Channel Manager – Modern Trade, you'll play a key role in managing national key accounts and building sustainable partnerships across minimarkets, supermarkets, and hypermarkets in areas beyond Greater Jakarta.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute annual or mid-term plans for assigned channels and customers (NKA & MTI) in line with company objectives.
Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and recommend actions.
Lead new product launches into modern trade channels, including forecasting, planning, and promotional strategies.
Manage A&P budgets efficiently from planning through execution and monitoring to meet sales targets.
Participate in sales and marketing programs; measure cost-effectiveness and performance.
Identify and address channel-specific issues and growth opportunities.
Support territory/channel development activities to maximize performance.
Assist senior management in planning and executing sales strategies.
Forecast sales volumes per customer/channel.
Foster strong, long-term relationships with key customers.
Collaborate with distributor sales teams to drive excellence in distribution, merchandising, availability, and promotional execution.
Provide market intelligence and competitor updates to management.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
4–5 years of experience in FMCG sales and marketing, ideally from a leading MNC.
Proven experience in modern trade channels, either as Key Account Executive, Assistant Key Account Manager, or Key Account Manager.
Familiarity with distributor operations is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with initiative and a hands-on mindset.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Independent, driven, and adaptable in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
Willingness to travel outside of Jakarta and abroad when needed.
Demonstrates entrepreneurial thinking and high ethical standards.
