Our client, a leading multinational FMCG company, is seeking an experienced Channel Manager to drive growth and excellence in the Modern Trade sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape channel strategy and build strong partnerships with key accounts in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute yearly and medium-term plans for National Key Accounts and Modern Trade channels (Minimarket/Supermarket/Hypermarket) aligned with company objectives

  • Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions

  • Manage successful new product launches into Modern Trade, including planning, forecasting, and promotional activities

  • Plan, execute, and monitor advertising and promotional activities to achieve sales objectives efficiently

  • Track cost-effectiveness of sales and marketing programs and activities against goals

  • Identify channel issues and opportunities, and build activities to maximize territory and channel plans

  • Deliver accurate sales volume forecasting for customers and channels

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure long-term business partnerships

  • Work with distributor sales teams to ensure execution excellence in distribution expansion, merchandising, on-shelf availability, and promotional activities

  • Provide market intelligence reports on competitor activities

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in FMCG sales and marketing, preferably with leading MNC food companies

  • Experience in Modern Trade channel as Channel Manager, Channel Development Manager, Assistant Key Account Manager, or Key Account Manager

  • Experience working through distributors is preferred

  • Strong initiative-taking abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Fluent in local language and English

  • Independent, self-motivated, and determined to succeed in challenging environments

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

  • Pragmatic, ethical, and entrepreneurial mindset
