Our client, a leading palm oil producer with operations across Indonesia, is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join their team in Jakarta. This role offers the opportunity to shape health, safety, and environmental standards across a growing organization committed to sustainable palm oil production and the wellbeing of its workforce.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE management systems across all operational sites

  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards

  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence

  • Design and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels

  • Monitor environmental impact and ensure adherence to RSPO and ISPO certification requirements

  • Prepare HSE reports and present findings to senior management

  • Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and external auditors

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace incidents and environmental impact

  • Lead emergency response planning and crisis management procedures

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum 7 years of HSE management experience, with at least 3 years in the palm oil or agricultural sector

  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian HSE regulations and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)

  • Experience with RSPO and ISPO sustainability certification processes

  • Proven track record of reducing incident rates and implementing successful safety programs

  • Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English

  • NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent certification preferred

  • Willingness to travel to plantation sites across Indonesia

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing HSE teams
