Our client, a leading international law firm in Jakarta, is seeking an experienced M&A Senior Associate to join their growing corporate practice. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated cross-border transactions while developing your career alongside respected partners in the Indonesian legal market.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage M&A transactions from inception through completion, including deal structuring, due diligence, negotiation, and closing

• Advise clients on corporate matters including joint ventures, reorganizations, private equity investments, and strategic partnerships

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents including share purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and shareholder agreements

• Oversee due diligence processes, manage data rooms, and coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams

• Act as key point of contact for clients, providing strategic and commercially-focused legal advice

• Supervise and mentor junior associates to ensure high-quality work product and professional development

• Collaborate with partners on business development initiatives and thought leadership activities

• Stay current on legal, regulatory, and market developments affecting M&A activity

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6-8 years post-qualification experience in corporate/M&A practice at a reputable law firm

• Proven track record handling complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions

• Experience advising multinational corporations, financial institutions, private equity funds, and large conglomerates

• Strong knowledge of Indonesian corporate law, securities regulation, foreign investment rules, and competition law

• Advanced drafting and negotiation skills for sophisticated transaction documents

• Demonstrated ability to supervise junior associates and manage transaction workflows

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities

• Outstanding client relationship management and communication skills

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential

• Bachelor of Law degree from a reputable university; foreign qualifications are advantageous
