Select Headhunter is partnering with a leading alcohol beverage producer seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at their Bali facility. This role offers the opportunity to oversee production in a dynamic, quality-driven environment where continuous improvement and people leadership are highly valued. If you bring a strong manufacturing background and a commitment to safety and excellence, this role could be a great fit. Priority will be given to candidates with direct alcohol production experience (distilling, brewing or boiling processes), though strong candidates from RTD and other beverage production systems will also be considered.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day plant operations including production (boiling, distilling, brewing), packaging, and warehousing to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

  • Manage end-to-end supply and demand planning (PPC), inventory control, and coordination with procurement for imports (import barang) and local suppliers.

  • Handle warehouse operations, packaging line performance, and packaging specifications to meet market and export requirements.

  • Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team (production, engineering, QA/QC, EHS, and maintenance) to drive performance and engagement.

  • Implement and sustain manufacturing best practices (Lean, 5S, TPM) and continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput and reduce waste.

  • Ensure compliance with food and beverage safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and local regulatory requirements specific to alcoholic beverage production.

  • Oversee waste management programs to minimise environmental impact and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Control operational budgets, monitor key performance indicators (OEE, yield, downtime, scrap) and deliver cost improvement opportunities.

  • Coordinate plant maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.

  • Oversee quality assurance and testing processes to maintain product integrity and consistency across batches.

  • Drive a strong safety culture: conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

  • Liaise with supply chain, procurement, R&D, and commercial teams to support new product introductions and process scale-up.

  • Prepare operational reports and present performance updates to the Managing Director.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or industry certifications advantageous.

  • Minimum 7+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or site leadership role; prior experience in alcoholic beverage production (distilling, brewing, boiling) is preferred.

  • Candidates from RTD and other beverage production systems with strong operational leadership will be considered.

  • Proven track record implementing Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement projects, and operational excellence methodologies.

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems (GMP, HACCP) and regulatory compliance relevant to alcohol production.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, budgets and deliver measurable cost and productivity improvements.

  • Experience in production planning & control (PPC), inventory management, import coordination, and packaging operations.

  • Experience managing waste management programs and environmental compliance.

  • Excellent leadership skills with experience building high-performing teams and driving safety-first culture.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable using KPI-driven management and production systems (ERP/MRP).

  • Fluent in English; Bahasa Indonesia proficiency preferred.

  • Willingness to be based in Bali and to work onsite with occasional travel as required.
