Select Headhunter is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturer to recruit an experienced Production Manager for their Pasar Kemis facility. This role offers responsibility for end-to-end production operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment focused on conveyor rollers, pulleys and related bulk material handling equipment. The successful candidate will lead a large shop-floor team, drive process and quality improvements, and ensure safe, reliable delivery of products to internal and external customers.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day production operations for the Pasar Kemis production team, managing approximately 200 direct and indirect subordinates.
Plan, coordinate and optimise production schedules to meet output, quality and delivery targets.
Provide technical leadership for roller and pulley manufacturing processes including shell forming, hub welding, heat treatment, shaft assembly, and static/dynamic balancing.
Manage and improve machinery operations (CNC lathes, mills, saws, presses) and robotic welding systems (e.g., Panasonic, FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa).
Implement and maintain quality systems consistent with ISO 9001 standards and ensure compliance to safety regulations.
Lead continuous improvement and TPM/IoT initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce downtime and improve process control.
Control production budgets, report performance metrics and support senior management with regular operational updates.
Conduct Genba reviews, lead site presentations and support candidate-related assessments during recruitment or skills reviews.
Coach, develop and manage production staff performance, training, and succession planning.
Ensure plant cleanliness, workplace organisation and adherence to company safety procedures.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical discipline preferred.
Significant experience (senior/managerial) in heavy manufacturing or pulley/roller production with responsibility for large teams.
Deep technical knowledge of production machinery (CNC, mills, lathes, presses) and proven experience with robotic welding systems.
Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, heat treatment and assembly/testing processes used in pulley manufacturing.
Hands-on experience implementing TPM, IoT-based process control and continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and safety compliance in manufacturing environments.
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills; ability to manage large, diverse teams.
Bahasa Indonesia required; English proficiency is an advantage.
Willingness to participate in site Genba visits and occasional extended hours for safety or critical production issues.
