Our client, a leading engineering consultancy specializing in renewable energy solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer & Power Plant Specialist to lead their geothermal engineering operations across Southeast Asia. Job Responsibilities
Assess, design, optimize, and troubleshoot geothermal surface facilities including steamfield gathering systems, reinjection networks, and power plant process systems
Lead conceptual design, FEED, and detailed design phases for geothermal power projects
Develop power plant layouts, turbine configurations, and balance of plant facilities
Conduct heat and mass balances, equipment sizing, and prepare technical specifications
Manage multidisciplinary project teams and oversee project delivery including financial control and progress reporting
Act as key technical representative for clients in Southeast Asia, building and maintaining strategic relationships
Lead bid and tender processes for consulting and design projects
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with regional business development teams
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers across the organization
Evaluate emerging technologies and innovations to enhance project efficiency and sustainability
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Engineering degree or higher (Washington Accord accredited preferred)
Minimum 10 years' experience in design, project engineering, and operation of geothermal or thermal power generating stations
Deep technical expertise in geothermal energy systems and surface process integration
Strong background operating in Indonesia and Southeast Asia region with established industry networks
Proven experience in FEED, detailed design, and design review processes
Expert knowledge of power plant technologies, H&MB diagrams, and equipment specification
Demonstrated project and variation management experience in an EPC environment
People leadership experience managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
Excellent technical writing, presentation, and client-facing communication skills
Strong business development and commercial acumen with proven ability to close deals
Willingness to travel frequently across Southeast Asia and occasionally to New Zealand
