Our client, a leading player in Indonesia's growing geothermal energy sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Jakarta. Job Responsibilities
Design and optimise geothermal process systems including steam separation, power generation cycles, and reinjection systems
Conduct process simulations and modelling to improve plant efficiency and output
Develop and review P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications
Oversee commissioning and start-up activities for new geothermal facilities
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to maximise plant performance
Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for geothermal projects
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams
Liaise with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred
Minimum 8 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 3 years in geothermal or power generation
Strong knowledge of geothermal reservoir characteristics and steam field operations
Proficiency in process simulation software (HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar)
Experience with thermodynamic cycles, heat exchangers, and turbine systems
Excellent understanding of Indonesian regulations governing geothermal operations
Strong project management and leadership capabilities
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
Willingness to travel to remote project sites as required
